The following values are crucial in the success of this programme therefore they are to be accepted and maintained by everyone involved; players, coaches, officials, and parents/guardians.
Respect – it is the collective responsibility of everyone in football to create a fair, safe and enjoyable environment in which the game can take place. Showing respect is the behavioural code for football.
Honesty – it is important in our environment that everyone is honourable in principles, intentions, and actions; demonstrating integrity and fairness at all times.
Teamwork – it is required that everyone is prepared to work together to achieve the common goal of allowing each and every player to fulfil their potential.
Punctuality – every effort should be made to be at all organised activities at or before the start time. Whilst there may be circumstances beyond your control on occasions, being regularly late is showing disrespect to other people’s time.
Endeavour – it is important that everyone involved makes every effort at every training/match session to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina. Also to give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during every game, even if the team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved.
Composure/Self-Discipline – although football is by it’s nature a competitive sport it is important that everyone involved remains calm and composed at all times regardless of the stress of any situation, provocative behaviour, or actions of others.
Positivity – everyone benefits from working in a positive environment; encouragement and support for your colleagues, always, is a must.
